Grass

Blurry-eyed I hear the distant chime
The hours change
Racing to the finish line
Armed with memories walking down a long corridor
Aromas, the lonely tree and a lazy afternoon

My love feeds on that one happy thought
Impeccable sweetness of nature and the earth
The heart finds roots
On that day and that hour
Lifting a little boat and sailing the skies

Climbing the shadows
Mounting the seas
Into the distance that lay hidden and unseen
A third person spoke,
"She is mad"

So the soaring skies crashed into the seas

Forgive and forget
Everything is flawed
The system has failed
She found existence in that blade of grass
Now she speaks for herself
Resting quietly on the edge of obscurity
