I choke in the vacuum of airy smiles
And endless promises
Why is there something missing?
A voice whispers
"Didn't you just feel the breeze?"
You look around and watch an entire civilization
Walk past you and disappear
You can hear their thoughts as they vanish
Eternal pledges of allegiance
You hear as a lonely tear wets your cheek
There are just so many words floating around
Yet no meaning
Just a curious banter with no real answers
No feeling
No life
Your defense, your numbness
Breaks down
In one significant moment
You lose everything and gain an enormous strength
You are shaken, revealed and cold.
You realise your relief
Has just pulled into the vacant parking lot
This time you don't need words
No questions will be asked
No promises will be made
You will be watched while you walk towards some regrets
As the mistakes you make
Make you who you are
You need to make them
Or life would be a dull game
But, every time you are overwhelmed
And feel locked
Your key will find you
No matter the distance, time or galaxy
You just need to look over your shoulder to find one
